WHY IT HELPS
Turns 'what did I change, and when?' into a list you can click. Picking an entry starts a journal note about it, so the reasoning behind a decision gets written down while you still remember it.
HOW IT'S CALCULATED
Events are recorded on the server as each change is saved, by comparing the value before the change with the value after it — which is why an entry can say '20% to 25%' rather than just the new number. Buys and sells are derived by comparing the lots on a holding before and after an edit. Board layout changes only record widgets added or removed, never a drag or resize. Entries are kept for 400 days. Notes you have already written about are marked 'written'.
