GLOSSARY

Share of Total Assets

Portfolio Metrics

IN PLAIN ENGLISH

How your wealth is split between investments, cash, crypto, property, pensions and everything else.

FULL DEFINITION

Each part of the balance sheet expressed as a percentage of Total Assets.

EXAMPLE

Holdings £18,000 out of Total Assets of £24,000 is 18,000 ÷ 24,000 × 100 = 75.0%.

HOW IT'S CALCULATED

Share = that part's value ÷ Total Assets × 100. Every share is 0% when Total Assets is zero. Crypto, precious metals and collectible cards show "—" when they are not included in the total, and the other shares are then out of the total without them.
