IN PLAIN ENGLISH
A one-off payment on top of the regular dividend, usually from surplus cash or the sale of part of the business.
WHERE YOU MEET IT
Counts in your trailing twelve-month income like any other payment — the data feed doesn't label it. The Estimated Dividends chart leaves out clear-cut ones when it projects next year; smaller ones can slip through.
WATCH OUT FOR
It isn't a raise. Take it out of your mental run-rate before judging the yield.
