The desktop dashboard changed a lot over September, and the phone versions had fallen behind. This release brings the app and the mobile site up to the same set of widgets, with the layout reworked so a phone screen isn't asked to show a desktop board.
One boundary is deliberate: you still add and edit assets on the Portfolio page of the website. The app shows everything that page feeds it, and each widget that depends on it links back there.
The same widgets, the same data sources
Pie Chart, Sankey Chart, Line Chart, Stat Tiles, Gainers & Losers and Balance Sheet all work on phones, with the same choice of what flows into them โ including cash, crypto, cards, metals, property and debts. Dividend Safety, Portfolio Health, Growth Planner, Rebalancing, Reports and the chart Legend came across too.
Tabs by what a widget shows
Widgets used to be grouped by the first word of their name. They now sit on the tab that matches their content: dividend widgets on Income (the old Calendar tab, renamed), health and target widgets on Targets. Adding a widget or changing its settings takes you to the tab it lives on.
Long lists fold away
A pie chart with twenty holdings used to produce a legend as long as the screen. The legend now shows the biggest five and a "Show more" button for the rest; the Fair Value and Dividend Safety lists fold the same way. The Portfolio and Holdings tables stay full length.
Alerts and goals for other assets
Smart Alerts has a third rule type for asset figures, and Goals can take a value target โ both described in the entry on alerts and goals for every asset class.
A crash on the mobile site, fixed
The chart Legend widget could stop the whole dashboard rendering on a phone-width screen. It no longer does.
