GLOSSARY

Cost per Unit

Portfolio Metrics

IN PLAIN ENGLISH

Your average cost for one, to compare with today's price for one.

FULL DEFINITION

What you paid for each copy of a card, or for each coin of a cryptocurrency.

EXAMPLE

£3,000 paid for 2 copies of a card: 3,000 ÷ 2 = £1,500 each. £4,000 paid for 0.1 BTC: 4,000 ÷ 0.1 = £40,000 a coin.

HOW IT'S CALCULATED

Cost per unit = what you paid for the whole row ÷ the number of copies (cards) or the quantity of coins (crypto). Shown only when you've entered what you paid in your portfolio currency — a paid value in another currency is never converted at today's rate — and, for a card, when you hold more than one copy. It is the dashed line on the price chart.
