GLOSSARY

Net Worth Over Time

Portfolio Metrics

IN PLAIN ENGLISH

A line of your net worth that grows from the day recording started. It's built from what was actually recorded, not worked out backwards, so it begins with one point and gains a point each day you look.

FULL DEFINITION

Your net worth on each day you opened the dashboard, written down as it was that day.

EXAMPLE

Recorded at £48,200 on 1 October and £49,650 on 29 October: the line has risen £1,450, or 3.0%, in that range.

HOW IT'S CALCULATED

Each day the dashboard is opened, once everything you own is priced, the app writes down that day's Net Worth (total assets less liabilities) in your portfolio currency — the same figure the Total Assets widget shows. A day is written once and never changed. Nothing is recorded while a wallet, card, metal price or bank balance is still loading or missing, so a day is never saved too low. The last 120 days keep every point; older ones are cut to one a week, and the list is capped, so a very old line becomes weekly. Days you didn't open the dashboard have no point and aren't filled in, and the line can't go back before the first one. Points recorded in another currency are kept but not mixed in. Change = last point − first point in the range; % = change ÷ first × 100, left out when the first is zero or less.
